Hi, when I follow someone I usually do this from multiple accounts, with different servers and platforms. This is partially as backup. It’s also because different software has different features. E.g. at the moment of writing I mainly post from my Friendica server, but it doesn’t yet support polls, or account migrations. So I also follow from my Pleroma server, which does notify me someone has migrated.
I also sometimes use platforms that support nomadic identity, that allows my channels on multiple servers to be synced. From software that doesn’t support that, a follow request looks like multiple separate requests from those channels.

Looks like this time they avoid the harsh Romanian winter by starting filming in spring and by not being in Romania. They film in Ireland this time if I remember correctly. Last time they were filming over eight months including winter, while living in an apartment building with a permanently broken hot water boiler.

The new series of Beyond Paradise has a new actress (Melina Sinadinou) that I didn't know before. As you can see in the first photo (from her Instagram) she seems totally my type. Weird is very ok for me... But maybe for others the second photo (her professional headshot from Spotlight by Harry Livingstone) is more conventionally convincing?

It's weird how they seemed to have special events every single day, Harvest Festival, Outreach Day, Poe Cup, Raven Dance, Parents Day, etc. Hardly any actual lessons seemed to be happening. We all know the level of detail Jenna puts in her performances, for Wednesday she got formal fencing and cello training, but on her Instagram posts of that time you can see she also had a mechanical typewriter in her apartment back in Romania. In this opening episode Wednesday is very comfortable typing her novel on the old typewriter, but doesn't really know how to work the keyboard of Enid's laptop.
Just found out that Joséphine Jobert is back in Death in Paradise, in episode 13x07. Apparently she's also in the next episode, I don't know whether she's fully back for coming seasons. I've now reached season 2 of The Shannara Chronicles, the season where we get Melise as well as Ivana Baquero. Melise was at the time still using her stage name of Malese Jow. Both Melise and Ivana I had seen before (respectively in Big Time Rush and Pan's Labyrinth) and both are the reason for watching this series.

A long time ago I saw the tv series Roswell and loved it. I started watching it for Shiri Appleby, who I knew from Xena, but would probably have watched it anyway. Shiri is nowadays besides a great actress also a great director. She was amazing in Unreal and the episodes she directed were the best.
It's nice to see what a really great lead actress brings to a series. She not only plays her role very well, but she also captures the audience and sets the tone. I think she makes Roswell the warm and interesting show it is.
That her role would be the lead wasn't that obvious. The series is about aliens hiding in Roswell and she is just a human. But I think it works out well, to have human Liz as point of view. #ShiriAppleby #Roswell

The Silent Witness episodes (Flight part 1 and 2, 19x03 and 19x04) where Abigail Hardingham guest starred were on tv again recently and I'm watching them now. I am again reminded what a brilliant actress she is despite being hardly known. Unlike other guest roles in this series, hers is really a leading role and she's taking us through all the twists and turns of the story.
I'm doing a rewatch in honour of Dafne Keen's birthday last Thursday. The Acolyte is not out yet and Ana is still not showing anywhere on streaming in my country, so it'll be an episode of His Dark Materials. Episode 1x05 is the one I like to watch. Where Dafne shows that Lyra being brave doesn't mean she isn't scared.
Dafne Keen is such a good actress. A lead character can be made to look cool by writing cool things for them to do, but that's not the trick here. With Dafne's Lyra it's pure acting. It's interacting with other characters, the emotions, the frustration, the drive. And I'm also noticing that she has chemistry with every character she interacts with, not just Will but also Lee, Ma Costa and the leaders of the Gyptians.

Watching Killjoys season one because of course I ordered this missing blu-ray. Why only have S2-5? I'm starting to notice that they are not afraid to show really bright sunbeams and large lens flares. Sometimes most of a scene is almost completely washed out by bright sunlight. This really helps in creating the impression of being on another world. So many sci-fi shows are just dark. #Killjoys

Though this Dutch character that Hannah John-Kamen plays is immediately clear in this second season as well as she dives head first into a planet's defensive layer without any plan whatsoever. She's the ultimate scifi-cool.

Ellie shows up at the hotel room and speed edits a film script, until her smarts and insights throw the whole process in disarray when she realises they need to start over with the script and actually try to understand the character of Beck. After the defenestration she goes back to her own hotel room and is only quickly seen again when she assures Joe she can order an Uber for herself to get home. She knows nothing yet about the whereabouts of her sister.
Nadia grows suspicious of her professor, who is actually Joe, and breaks into his apartment, finds the clues and the key faster than Joe does himself in the next episode and walks in on... Marianne in the cage! This is the latter half of the episode, in the beginning she has words with her 'is he or isn't he' boyfriend.
That was 2x07, I found I had to watch that too since Nadia's story is sort of broken between the episodes.
In 2x08 we get Marianne's story, the nightingale in a cage, for the first 21 minutes. This leads to the moment Nadia walking in on that terrifying scene, but seen from the other side. Nadia tries to free Marianne, call the police, anything, but has to settle for just bringing food and water. She promises to be back with a plan. But this episode Joe grows suspicious of Nadia and almost foils her plans to put the keys back and go to Marianne. The episode ends with Nadia rushing to the cage, just missing being seen by Joe who is finally on his own trail to find the cage, and announcing to Marianne that she has a plan, but that it's a mad one.
Ellie walks in on Joe and Love who have met up the morning after the events of Forty's process. She is still looking for her sister Delilah and proceeds to spend the day cooking with Love. She tells Love about how she came to live with her sister after her father died. Later in the episode she has the arguably most heartfelt moment of the series where she has her 'what's wrong with me' outburst in the kitchen, when she believes her sister has left her.
Nadia is talking to Marianne about the plan to get her out without involving the police, while Joe walks in and she needs to hide around the corner. This is when a panic-stricken Nadia properly sees the madness of her professor, indicating the reality closing in on Joe. When he's gone Nadia and Marianne agree that the only way is for Joe to die. When Nadia is later rushing back after sourcing the drugs and knife needed, she gets into a mishap at the underground access gates and is taken to the police station. Once outside, she receives the remainder of the drugs she needs for plan b that Marianne has set in motion due to the delay. Meanwhile, she has to admit to her 'boyfriend' that she doesn't consider him her boyfriend as this is not the kind of conversation that you can postpone because you're in a hurry.

I've reached the episode of Red Dwarf series VII where Chloë Annett enters the show as the new Kochanski. I loved seeing her so much and apparently I still do. Also the new angle on the character is great. And no, I have no problem liking both actresses who played the same role.

The way American tv series are made, causes them to often feel like a book of which the last chapter is missing. The hope is that you've lost interest in the book by the time you get to that chapter. Sometimes you get a quick summary of how the author meant to wrap things up in that chapter.
