Content warning: Pinned post, about following from multiple addresses
Hi, when I follow someone I usually do this from multiple accounts, with different servers and platforms. This is partially as backup. It’s also because different software has different features. E.g. at the moment of writing I mainly post from my Friendica server, but it doesn’t yet support polls, or account migrations. So I also follow from my Pleroma server, which does notify me someone has migrated.
I also sometimes use platforms that support nomadic identity, that allows my channels on multiple servers to be synced. From software that doesn’t support that, a follow request looks like multiple separate requests from those channels.
Content warning: pinned opinion about nude scenes in films
Many actresses are somewhere in their career forced to do a nude (sex) scene. The male actors hardly ever are. To me the purpose seems sales rather than art. I'd wish for films to never include nude scenes and to always use suggestion instead.

@email@example.com well as from Twitter, Instagram and Tumblr as
@GidiKroonbut I'm mainly using my own Friendica for now. Even though I have been on the fediverse for a few years, I've never done an #Introduction post, so let's do one for this channel.
I tend to post about actresses and singers I'm a fan of, sharing news about their new projects as well as my thoughts about films and tv I watch. In between I give my take on political things as well as about the fediverse. When I learn new things hosting a fediverse server or other technical things, I try to share them here too. Longer posts may end up on my blog

In real life I work as a software developer, but I keep work separate from a private account like this. I play (beach) volleyball when I can, at a very low level. I live in the Netherlands and occasionally cycle and take photographs. I read and watch sci-fi and fantasy, and am interested in ways to achieve social justice, gender and race equality, sustainable energy use and climate justice.
Feel free to follow, as I will also follow other accounts I find interesting without expectation of them following back. Feel free to share (boost, repeat) my posts if you want, using whatever share function comes with your platform. I tend to close DMs to only allow people I follow. I check my fediverse accounts only one or a few times a day, typically on my phone or tablet, so I tend to not be part of live discussions.
No point watching, or even making, Scream 7, now that Jenna Ortega will not be in it due to scheduling conflicts.
Wednesday season one took eight months to film, she's doing season two soon, so there's just no time fitting in a seventh Scream. Apparently this was already being discussed before the strike began.

Jenna Ortega won the Breakthrough Award at the Women of the Year Awards by Harper's Bazaar! She received the award from Tim Burton. Here she is in that night's portrait studio in a photo by Rachel Louise Brown, published here by the magazine. See the announcement on their Instagram.

Great interview in Harper's Bazaar UK with Jenna Ortega, not about her films due to the strike, but about her career and her life, about the past and future, about her 21st birthday which was the first in a long time she was not working, about never being home, about representation, and about what she wants in the future. I like reading about her thoughts, she's a deep thinker.
Great photoshoot by Agata Pospieszynska as well. She's one of five cover stars for the 'Awards edition'.

In related news: in the past you needed to type well into her last name before type ahead search results on the various sites considered you might be meaning "Jenna Ortega", but I can report that now for IMDb "Jen" is enough and for Netflix a simple "Je".
The autocomplete on my phone needs nothing more than "J", or in fact just a #, but that's years of training...
Jenna Ortega's new Dior campaign photos are finally posted by the Dior Instagram account. Some had already seen them in the wild, as it includes a street advertising campaign. They promote the jewelry collection "Rose des Vents".

Jenna Ortega is, or will be, filming Death of a Unicorn. As an A24 film this is not impacted by the strike (as A24 accepted the union's conditions and the union promotes people working on such projects).
I think this is good news not just because I want to see more Jenna Ortega films, and preferably good ones like A24 usually makes, but also because it provides work for all those other professions that depend on the film industry (catering, drivers, builders) and that would otherwise be impacted by the strike.

Two titbits from yesterday's Tudum, Netflix's fan event, that I gather from clips posted:
Wednesday season 2 is going to introduce another Addams Family character. Many people have asked for Cousin Itt to appear, but the cast say they don't know yet who it will be. Also, from the fact that the cast announcing this was Jenna, Emma, Joy and Hunter, you can guess their characters are back.
You is going to be the final season, as announced earlier, and there was no news. Just the suggestion that Joe is going to face (an) opponent(s) related to the many loose ends. The clips to illustrate these loose ends included Jenna Ortega as Ellie. My favourite story would be where Ellie and Nadia team up to take Joe down.

In trying to find out whether I could see it in Europe (answer: no), I found that Jenna's appearance on Fallon (The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon) is repeated today and tomorrow on CNBC Europe (one of her two visits). So set your recorders! (Yes, I'm old. Yes, I have a recorder and have set it.)
I also found that old seasons of SNL eventually end up on HBO Max, so I've already set my alert on Jenna's episode.

This is by far, by far, the best film of the franchise. Jenna Ortega is amazing. The whole cast play their characters amazingly. The script includes proper characters unlike some horror films. Even if you're not into horror or slashers, this is still a big recommendation from me.

Jenna Ortega never loses her cool while eating increasingly hot spicy wings and while being interviewed. She talks about Wednesday, Tim Burton, Scream, horror in general, writing essays, teen stereotypes in scripts, etc.

New Scream VI trailer! With cast quotes.
The film comes out 9 March in my country (10 March in the US), but in many cities here there's a prerelease showing on Wednesday 8 March. Check your listings!
Scream VI is the follow up to last year's Scream, which was actually number 5, and Jenna Ortega plays one of the main characters, Tara Carpenter.
