American Carnage is a film that Jenna Ortega recorded in Spain several years ago. Nothing much was heard about it for a long time, but when Jenna became more famous with The Fallout and Scream, the film was suddenly released with her prominently in all marketing. I'm not sure yet how big her role really is.

It is not available on European blu-ray or on any of my local digital services. So this is the us blu-ray.

As expected, only the JP character is a main character, others including Jenna's Camila are supporting characters. It's a fun or should I say interesting watch. Interesting concept, but if it wasn't for Jenna my interest would be somewhat less.

I don't quite know what it means yet, but Adidas says they haven't done a new label in 50 years, but they are going to and Jenna Ortega is going to be the brand ambassador of it. That's all I know. More to be revealed. This was from an official Adidas press release.

Most people will associate her with acting, red carpets, fashion and high heels, but people who have been following Jenna Ortega longer will know that sports and soccer in particular are very much part her. At some point as a kid she had to choose between the acting or continuing playing soccer and it could easily have gone the other way.

Doing one Wednesday per Wednesday for my fourth run-through of the series. Meanwhile also at episode four of The Lizzie Borden Chronicles. There's something quite Wednesday about this Lizzie.

The Scream VI trailer is out! It looks great. Nice detail is that unlike the previous one where they suggested Tara (Jenna Ortega's character) was the opening kill, here we see her in multiple outfits, so she is in the film for a while. Not so nice is that there is a clip of Tara in trouble that she maybe doesn't survive...

Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega are so believable as sisters.

It is all great how Jenna Ortega's talent is now so much recognised, resulting in The Fallout suddenly getting nominated in the 2023 awards season even though it premiered at sxsw 2021, and her Instagram followers jumping from 8 million to 38 million, but can we let her lead her own normal life in between jobs? You can see all the (presumably professional) autograph hunters on all the paparrazi photos.

While with the success of Wednesday on Netflix a go-ahead for season two seems only natural, here are my completely uninformed thoughts about it: it has become clear that there can't be a Wednesday season two or any offshoot of the Addams Family universe in film, without Jenna Ortega. She's been so much the center of the success. And if I were Jenna, which I'm not, I'd want in this case to see scripts before committing. So chicken and egg... I've found that Jenna Ortega's film The Fallout is called "The Life After" in some regions. This has not yet resulted in me finding an available blu-ray or dvd, however. In the US a dvd (not blu-ray) is available under its normal name and the film is on HBO Max wherever HBO Max is.

It was totally amazing. I want a season two. It's showing such great judgement by Jenna Ortega of presenting exactly the right kind and amount of internal torment to hook you on the character and the story, while also being true to the version we know who had her emotionless one-liners as a support character but which wouldn't work for leading eight episodes. This works. But we know, and many people say it, Jenna always delivers.
