Hi, when I follow someone I usually do this from multiple accounts, with different servers and platforms. This is partially as backup. It’s also because different software has different features. E.g. at the moment of writing I mainly post from my Friendica server, but it doesn’t yet support polls, or account migrations. So I also follow from my Pleroma server, which does notify me someone has migrated.
I also sometimes use platforms that support nomadic identity, that allows my channels on multiple servers to be synced. From software that doesn’t support that, a follow request looks like multiple separate requests from those channels.

Jenna's role is bigger than you would expect for a sequel featuring most original characters, but her role didn't completely take over the franchise as it was for Scream. Not yet anyway. Of course I would have wanted the story to be fully about her character, yet it wasn't, it involves everybody. But at the same time, it is sort of clear that without her performance in the way only she can do, the sequel would not have worked. The other cast members have remarked in interviews that the sequel had to wait so long because she still needed to be born, grow up and become an actress, and that's true.
Just seen Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, I really liked this! Enough retro, enough modern, enough bigger than the original. Great performance by Jenna Ortega, I love being a fan of hers, she's creating a great catalogue of films. #JennaOrtega #BeetlejuiceBeetlejuice

I saw Deadpool & Wolverine this evening in the cinema, and the first film this morning to see what it is about. Can't say I'm a fan of the franchise. But Dafne Keen is in this one, so that is enough reason. Her role is small-ish, but not nearly as small as I feared. Dafne Keen will executive produce and star in a new film called Night Comes. The film's description looks very interesting, being a horror thriller that is both action and character based, set in a world without rules and gender roles. It is further produced by the people behind Get Out.
The two actresses playing sisters trying to survive the horror also rather look like they could be sisters. This explains Dafne's Instagram story of yesterday, where she posted an extreme closeup of her with another young woman, but they looked so alike and it was so closeup, that you couldn't tell who's who. The extremely steamy story she writes has sex only as a literary device. The steamy scene she has with her lesbian friend is only to distract her and she stops as the photo is taken and sent, beyond the photo she had no interest in it.
In films like this, 'the girl' is often portrayed as driven by her hormones. Even in this film it is said that 'teenage girls are dangerous'. But not Cairo, she is purely intellectual.

She's not a nice person. She treats both Jonathan and Winnie as subhuman.
Here's my take on Jonathan: I think he is indeed mediocre as both Cairo and his own wife say. He stopped writing when he got some bad reviews and he shies away from the literary gauntlet Cairo throws down. He's a coward who thought he was more.
I think he actually is sexually interested in this beautiful young woman who flatters him and who he can admire, like normally in 'these kind of films'. He is not the standard victim however, since it is shown that he and his colleague already blur lines, watch nude pictures of students, etc. With Cairo he had the opportunity to draw lines and should have (their classroom talk already went too far, but visiting the poetry reading together was well wrong, not to speak of the kissing, visiting her house when he knew she was alone, etc.). Also, he should have left his wife ages ago since she clearly looks down on him, but that is yet another thing he doesn't dare to do.
Here's my take on whether they did or didn't do it: the film is nicely ambiguous about that. The sex scene we see is part of the story Cairo wrote, not necessarily true. He denies anything happened, but we saw them kiss, so that is a lie already. She denied to her friend that they slept together, so probably they didn't. 'Write what you know' is said, suggesting they did. But Cairo refers to it as 'this fantasy' instead of 'this thing we did', so maybe they didn't.
I think they truly bonded after the poetry night, where they both fell in love with each other. Maybe more happened, maybe it happened the next time they were together at her house. But I'm guessing, with 51%/49% odds, that it didn't go beyond the kiss. #MillersGirl #JennaOrtega

I love the film "Noce Blanche" (also a brilliant student and a teacher, though there she's 15, here 18) and both there and here the story is treated better, more real, with a different slant on it. Where in "Noce Blanche" it initially starts off showing her as the predator (the classic take), then questions that, here we dive deep into their psyches and the why while at the same time not knowing what really happened (the problem with "Noce Blanche" is that we see way too much of what happens, not here). The shot of the empty chair was in both films, maybe not coincidentally.

Not only in the traditional sense, but also how the tension between the characters changes throughout the film and the two actors are completely in sync with each about it. So much is also hinted at that may have happened between the characters that we didn't see, I mean that both of them show up wearing sunglasses next morning after sharing a moment at a poetry night suggests the night lasted longer than we knew...
Also a couple of long emotional scenes without cuts, just focusing on the actors, I like that.

I'm watching Dafne Keen in the film Ana. It's rather difficult to find outside the US, even when you know it is sometimes called The Guardian. But I can confirm that the US blu-ray disc also plays in my European player.
The film is from 2020, so a while ago, and only the second film with Dafne that I get to see. From the trailer it seems interesting. But I would watch films with Dafne anyway... #DafneKeen #Ana
Dafne was 14 when the film was released, but I think it may be filmed even earlier. She doesn't look much older than she was in Logan and she does look much younger than in His Dark Materials.
She plays a child who seconds after her mother got arrested gets under the skin of a used cars salesman and becomes his problem.
I really liked it, it isn't the standard story you're expecting from the trailer. Dafne is of course the powerhouse you'd expect.
I like the scene over the end credits, where Dafne/Ana shows how to record a proper advert for Rafa's used car business, after Rafa at the beginning of the film tries (and fails) the record a great advert to get some much needed attention for his business. #DafneKeen #Ana

It's that day again, the birthday of Stephanie Leonidas!
I choose Crusade in Jeans from my 'Watch for Stephanie' letterboxd list for the birthday rewatch. A long time ago I only knew her sister Georgina Leonidas and knew she was a very talented actress. I saw that her older sister Stephanie was also an actress and thought that even if she only had a fraction of the talent of her younger sister, she would still be worth watching. So I took a punt buying this dvd. That was a very lucky punt... Stephanie turned out to be one of the best actresses ever and I since try to watch everything with her in it!
A boy plays and loses a football match with the national team, then drops in on his mother who's building a time machine. He goes back in time trying to win, but ends up in the middle ages and meets love interest girl (winning after all) Jenne in a children's crusade.
The story acknowledges that the crusades as we know them were wrong. This children's crusade is strictly nonviolent.
Stephanie Leonidas is filming a new film called Marching Powder. She just posted photos from the set.
