If your world view consists of white cowboy hats and black cowboy hats you may want to check whether your white cowboy hats aren't just black cowboy hats that have been spray painted white.

Pinned post, about following from multiple addresses

Hi, when I follow someone I usually do this from multiple accounts, with different servers and platforms. This is partially as backup. It’s also because different software has different features. E.g. at the moment of writing I mainly post from my Friendica server, but it doesn’t yet support polls, or account migrations. So I also follow from my Pleroma server, which does notify me someone has migrated.

I also sometimes use platforms that support nomadic identity, that allows my channels on multiple servers to be synced. From software that doesn’t support that, a follow request looks like multiple separate requests from those channels.

I'm going to do some mixed-up rewatch to see the combined talents of Jenna Ortega and Amy-Leigh Hickman by jumping between the second and fourth seasons of You. Double the brilliance. I'll be doing episodes 2x08, 4x08, 2x09, 4x09, 2x10 and 4x10.

You 2x09 Ellie report (spoilers)
Ellie walks in on Joe and Love who have met up the morning after the events of Forty's process. She is still looking for her sister Delilah and proceeds to spend the day cooking with Love. She tells Love about how she came to live with her sister after her father died. Later in the episode she has the arguably most heartfelt moment of the series where she has her 'what's wrong with me' outburst in the kitchen, when she believes her sister has left her.

You 4x09 Nadia report (spoilers)
Nadia is talking to Marianne about the plan to get her out without involving the police, while Joe walks in and she needs to hide around the corner. This is when a panic-stricken Nadia properly sees the madness of her professor, indicating the reality closing in on Joe. When he's gone Nadia and Marianne agree that the only way is for Joe to die. When Nadia is later rushing back after sourcing the drugs and knife needed, she gets into a mishap at the underground access gates and is taken to the police station. Once outside, she receives the remainder of the drugs she needs for plan b that Marianne has set in motion due to the delay. Meanwhile, she has to admit to her 'boyfriend' that she doesn't consider him her boyfriend as this is not the kind of conversation that you can postpone because you're in a hurry.

Rewatching the Amy-Leigh Hickman episodes of You season four, which if I remember correctly means that I can skip some of part one, but that in part two it really kicks off.

Episode 4x01 has a nice scene introducing Nadia. Episode 4x02 has several scenes including her doing the explaining thing. Yes, Nadia is very much like Ellie with regard to her place in the story.

Episode 4x08 changes the story quite a lot in a way that I can't say because of spoilers. But Amy-Leigh Hickman's Nadia is an important part of it. She's no longer an observer.

Episodes 4x09 and 10 are where the Nadia situation gets really intense. If you want a quick rewatch of Amy-Leigh Hickman in You, episodes 8 to 10 of season four are it, the same as for a quick rewatch of Jenna Ortega in You season two, you'd also do episodes 8 to 10. Though I would recommend the whole part 2 (episodes 6 to 10) here.

It's clear to me (or my imagination) that this Nadia storyline in part 2 was intended as an Ellie storyline until Jenna Ortega was not available, stuck in Romania doing Wednesday. Amy-Leigh Hickman is the only actress I'd trust to take over such a big thing and she does so amazingly.

This is what I like, actress in the writers room. Here Amy-Leigh Hickman visits the writers room for You season 5. She isn't even confirmed yet for that season, but I take this as a very positive sign.

Part two of the fourth season of You is now available on Netflix. Also, I have no volleyball to go to this evening. These two events nicely combine.

Amy-Leigh Hickman was already great in part one, I have high expectations for part two...

Definitely watch part two of You season four for Amy-Leigh Hickman. She's so good in it. This part two is also better than part one, maybe they should have released it together. Can't say anything more about it because of spoilers.

You season five idea/hope based on season four part two
Let's hope there's a season five and let's hope Ellie can come back and we can get stories (somehow) involving Nadia and Ellie together, I think that would really work. If Ellie hears what happened to Nadia, they could team up. That would be fire. Two great actresses playing two great characters that are so similar it creates its special chemistry.

The You Netflix account posting these two Ellie and Nadia videos side by side... I love both actresses, and characters, and had already noticed their similarities in the makeup of the show (the wise young person that fascinates Joe, who he wants to protect, but who is fundamentally a reflection of the real world rather than Joe's strange business). Further parallels: both Jenna and Amy-Leigh became famous from a tv series with a lot of kids living in a house where there were two adults, but the stories were about the kids (Stuck in the Middle and Tracy Beaker Returns/The Dumping Ground).

You see that Joe is getting older because in season four he needs to take notes to remember it all.

Season four of You (on Netflix) will have the amazingly talented Amy-Leigh Hickman in it. I'm also hoping we are getting Jenna Ortega back as Ellie, who already showed her extraordinary talents in S2. That would make for the perfect season!
