Was testing a new lens, the wide angle Canon RF 28mm f/2.8 STM. I like it. It's very flat. And I'm starting to learn that if you pay attention there doesn't need to be (much) distortion even for a wide angle lens. I.e. look at and not ignore the level meter on the display...

Photos below are unprocessed, except crop and downscale on my phone for posting. Taken on a Canon EOS R10, so there's a 1.6 crop factor (28mm has the equivalent field of view of 45mm).

A wooden structure with several vertical poles supports the leaves and branches of winding trees or plants. One winding trunk goes up next to a straight vertical pole in the foreground, being 'the odd one out'.
A small park centred around a wooden cross that is a WW2 memorial. Some red flowers are at its base. Trees, poles and a flagpost are also seen, forming several vertical lines. There's a comically small fence. Inscriptions on several plaques can not be read from the photo, but say among others that there's no point to war, in Latin.
