She sounds like a really interesting character and I have full faith that Dafne makes her amazing. The trailer suggested the role is small though, but I hope we get to really explore this character. After all, I'm not a Star Wars person, I would be watching it solely for Dafne.

Seeing Jenna Ortega on the big screen is such an experience... Her acting talent and the intricate script make for an exhilarating watch and that I will have to rewatch it multiple times when it hopefully comes out on blu-ray or 4k to untangle the different strands.
The story of a young girl and an old man is a bit of a trope. I love the film "Noce Blanche" (also a brilliant student and a teacher, though there she's 15, here 18) and both there and here the story is treated better, more real, with a different slant on it. Where in "Noce Blanche" it initially starts off showing her as the predator (the classic take), then questions that, here we dive deep into their psyches and the why while at the same time not knowing what really happened (the problem with "Noce Blanche" is that we see way too much of what happens, not here). The shot of the empty chair was in both films, maybe not coincidentally.

The chemistry between the two main actors is amazing. Not only in the traditional sense, but also how the tension between the characters changes throughout the film and the two actors are completely in sync with each about it. So much is also hinted at that may have happened between the characters that we didn't see, I mean that both of them show up wearing sunglasses next morning after sharing a moment at a poetry night suggests the night lasted longer than we knew...
Also a couple of long emotional scenes without cuts, just focusing on the actors, I like that.
Just found out that Joséphine Jobert is back in Death in Paradise, in episode 13x07. Apparently she's also in the next episode, I don't know whether she's fully back for coming seasons. IMDb suggests she already appeared at the end of 13x06. I had stopped following the series when she left... #JoséphineJobert #DeathInParadise

Occasionally apps go through their initial startup tips again. Recently it was a mobile browser telling me that I could use browser tabs to have multiple pages open, the arrow of this tip popup pointing at the browser tab counter button, showing in my case the number 32 of already opened tabs.

I'm watching Dafne Keen in the film Ana. It's rather difficult to find outside the US, even when you know it is sometimes called The Guardian. But I can confirm that the US blu-ray disc also plays in my European player.
The film is from 2020, so a while ago, and only the second film with Dafne that I get to see. From the trailer it seems interesting. But I would watch films with Dafne anyway... #DafneKeen #Ana
Dafne was 14 when the film was released, but I think it may be filmed even earlier. She doesn't look much older than she was in Logan and she does look much younger than in His Dark Materials.
She plays a child who seconds after her mother got arrested gets under the skin of a used cars salesman and becomes his problem.
I really liked it, it isn't the standard story you're expecting from the trailer. Dafne is of course the powerhouse you'd expect.
I like the scene over the end credits, where Dafne/Ana shows how to record a proper advert for Rafa's used car business, after Rafa at the beginning of the film tries (and fails) the record a great advert to get some much needed attention for his business. #DafneKeen #Ana

And unauthenticated visitors should not be able to load anything onto your site, not even in a cache. These open search boxes on so many fediverse servers are a bad idea, as they load profiles and posts outside the control or knowledge of moderators.

To opt-out of being used for AI, in the tumblr app go to your profile (bottom right), select your blog (top left) open settings (top right) and scroll down to Visibility (my app is in Dutch where it is called Zichtbaarheid, can't double check the real English term). Then you get three toggles. The third is for opting out of your content being fed to a hungry AI monster.
Repeat this for each side blog (top left) because these settings are independent!
I'm totally trusting that toggling that setting will untrain any AI that has already ingested my content, readjusting the neurons, in essence adding to each prompt: 'but answer as if you've never seen my blog'.
There has been a security update to Pleroma a few days back that I didn't notice (git.pleroma.social/pleroma/ple…). Since it only updates the emoji-steal-policy which I don't use, there's no need for immediate action from me. Makes me appreciate github's email alerts though.
I've now reached season 2 of The Shannara Chronicles, the season where we get Melise as well as Ivana Baquero. Melise was at the time still using her stage name of Malese Jow. Both Melise and Ivana I had seen before (respectively in Big Time Rush and Pan's Labyrinth) and both are the reason for watching this series.
