Happy Birthday, Christina Ricci!

She's 'only' 10 years and 5 days younger than me... I have seen so many films with her, but I think Black Snake Moan is my favourite. I'll be rewatching that now.

Iconic scene from the beginning of the film, with Christina Ricci as Rae walking, blocking the road for a massive agricultural machine, while she looks very tiny and fragile. The tractor is honking, she responds with the middle finger.

I can't decide which frame captures it better though, the closeup, or the full frame with the middle finger.

An old man (drunk) finds a young woman (drunk, drugged, beaten up and passed out) while they are both at wits end. He decides to cure her. His methods are unorthodox and maybe he should focus on curing himself. The racism in the town doesn't help, given he's black and she's white.

The scene with the chain is of course also iconic, but I better not post photos of that, it'll get the wrong people excited.
