So I can't fix the TROMnews Illustrations...no bibliogram instance is working....yeah that's the world we live in you can't access the PUBLIC instagram accounts UNLESS you have an instagram account and use their app. Of course! Inter-opera-bili-ty mi-ass. #tromlive

@Tio I don't understand, I use the fact that public posts and accounts are accessible via the web quite a lot. I just tested again with a public profile in an incognito tab without logging in. Works fine. But I use their site, not some third party site. Is there a reason you can't use their site? Which public Instagram account are you trying to reach?

Coincidentally I've just today been experimenting with (commercial product) Iframely, and at "https://iframely.com/embed" you can get valid embed codes for Instagram posts that you normally would need an api key for; just in case this is in some way an alternative to what you want to achieve (your other categories looked like they are based on embeds, that's why I'm mentioning this).

So I want to access the photos without being on their website or using their app. Say this account's photos instagram.com/steve_cutts_offi… - like an RSS feed for example. You could do that via Bibliogram (front end for instagram) but they block it and the IP's using it...also if you want to use their API you need accounts, access, and is a mess.

@Tio I can access that account without logging in. Quite nice illustrations! But this is indeed on their site and you need to clear cookies every two posts you open. I don't see how you can use Instagram without using their app or site (there's no rss and the api doesn't allow that kind of access), but having an account is not needed.

I am sure I was unable to access certain accounts from desktop before unless I had a mobile + app + login. So on desktop it seems you can access them via the browser but my point was not that, we need access from outside like any website should provide. Like an RSS feed or open API, so we can grab the content without being on their website or use their app.

@Tio this grabbing content thing is exactly what they are trying to prevent...

yeah I know haha...that's why I pointed out at the fuckery...of course, for them this content is not free, is for trade. To use it to trade with the advertisers and what not...
