With so many streaming services being American only, being a fan is often like this:

actress to her worldwide audience: I'm in a new show!
we the fans: yay!
actress: it's on paramount+! (or hulu, or hbomax, or ...)
we: oh. well, have fun. tell us how it was. can somebody make screencaps?

in reply to Gidi Kroon

While it used to be in the olden days of broadcast television:

actress: i can't talk about any new project yet, it's a big secret
(months go by)
pr for new show: show x will star your favs and begins tomorrow!
(much fanfare. appearances on all talk shows)
non-us fans: we are geo-blocked, why?
some faq: all countries want to have their own control over how and when to release and market, so there are separate licence agreements
(years go by)
some local tv station: *broadcasts show in complete silence so we all miss it*
(meanwhile)
amazon: no, we are not allowed to ship this dvd to your country
