How some people respond delusionally to any stressful 'global' situation... In this comic, the first guy diminishes the effect, the woman in second solves the problem selfishly with money (the higher class dodging the issue with their resources), and the last dog-man blames a minority (racism).

Spent all day telling customers over the phone not to come down because the road out front was completely blocked off with fire trucks.

It is at its most disturbing when it occurs without deliberate effort for promoting it by malicious parties and without the individual affected being typically so inclined to ignore problems, instead their cognition just clearly visibly skipping a beat.

Basically every year of my life has been a record summer yet it's always been ‘well it was worse in 76’ ‘we did okay in 76’ ‘it's barely warmer than 76’ .

Then Pepper asks, how to prevent all of that, and elves tell, that usage of fire should be prohibited, as well as wood, paper (as fuel for fire) and glass lenses (to prevent them from focusing sunlight and causing fire), and 2 out of 3 moons should be moved and fixed in one point to block the Sun.
Then Pepper asks: "Is the future going to be so harsh and are there easier way to prevent that?" — and elves tell, that those were their worst predictions, most likely the planet would become warmer but not to the point of worldwide desert, and to prevent that it is enough to replace all fire lamps with magical cold sources of light.

This is a parody on climate change activists, who tell that Earth is going to turn into hell due to global warming instead of most likely projections, and thus involuntarily discredit the movement to stop climate change.
